Arrival Day at Sundance Guest Ranch

After a 5.5 hour drive from Redmond, we finally arrived. Kirsten and I had been looking forward to our return to “the ranch” for almost a year. This time our husbands joined us as non-riders. On arrival day we miss lunch but get to go on the afternoon ride.

We spent 6 glorious days riding through the trails in the hills outside Ashcroft British Columbia. We ride for a little over 2 hours in the morning and again after lunch. The horses are so fit. We tracked our rides on our fitness devices and they cover between 5 and 6 miles on each ride.

After we got back from that first ride it was time to clean up (ironically, both of our husbands are allergic to horses). The dusk sky was very dramatic on our first evening and made for some great pictures.
